Poland's Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski recently met with ambassadors from Arab countries accredited to Warsaw to discuss the ongoing Middle East conflict, with a focus on the Palestinian issue.

The meeting was initiated by Palestinian Ambassador Mahmoud Khalifa, who presented the Arab states' position, advocating for a two-state solution based on the 1967 borders. He called for efforts to sustain the ceasefire and de-escalate tensions in Gaza, support UNRWA, and push for greater international recognition of a Palestinian state.

The group also discussed the outcomes of the recent Arab League summit in Cairo, where a long-term reconstruction plan for Gaza was developed.

Minister Sikorski reiterated Poland’s unwavering support for the two-state solution and reaffirmed the country's recognition of Palestine, while also recognizing Israel’s right to defend itself within the boundaries of international law.
