In a post on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump announced the meeting will take place next Friday, adding that further details would be released soon.
The White House has not confirmed the full agenda or logistics, including whether Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy will join the talks. NBC News, citing an unnamed U.S. official, reported that Moscow has presented a list of demands for a potential ceasefire in Ukraine, while Washington is seeking backing from Kyiv and European allies.
Trump dismissed suggestions that the meeting was a “last chance” to end the conflict, saying he does not view it in those terms.
U.S. officials expected to join the talks include Secretary of State Marco Rubio and White House envoys for Russia-Ukraine negotiations, Steve Witkoff and retired General Keith Kellogg.
