The Shahed-136 drone, recovered from Ukraine and displayed in Westminster with the support of the organisation United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI) and the Polish government, served as stark evidence of Iran’s military cooperation with Moscow.

Sikorski told British lawmakers that growing military cooperation between Russia and Iran poses a wider threat to European security, noting that weapons designed in Tehran are being used to strike Ukrainian cities and energy infrastructure.

Poland’s top diplomat warned that many components found in Iranian drones downed over Ukraine originate from Western countries, urging tighter enforcement of international sanctions to stop such transfers.

During his London visit, the Polish minister met with UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper and National Security Adviser Jonathan Powell to discuss continued support for Kyiv, sanctions against Russia and measures to strengthen NATO’s eastern flank.

The event, held under the banner United Against Nuclear Iran: The Unveiling of an Iranian Shahed-136 Drone, sought to draw international attention to the dangers of Russia’s expanding military partnership with Iran.
