Record year for Warsaw airport

The Chopin Airport in Warsaw handled 18.8 million passengers in 2019, 6.2 percent more than the previous year.

A total of 17.1 million passengers travelled on international flights, almost 60 percent of them within the Schengen zone.

According to the Warsaw airport, LOT Polish Airlines – the national carrier – was the most popular airline, with 9.7 million people using LOT services in the Polish capital.

Last year, LOT inaugurated seven new regular connections, including three long-range flights: to Miami, Delhi and Colombo.
