Czerwińska was finance minister from January 2018 to June 2019. She then became a member of the board of the National Bank of Poland, the country’s central bank.

Czerwińska was proposed for the European Investment Bank job by Poland’s current finance minister, Tadeusz Kościński.

Kościński is himself seeking a job as head of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), state news agency PAP has reported.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is an international financial institution that supports projects in more than 30 countries.

Meanwhile, the European Investment Bank is the lending arm of the European Union. It aims to support economies, create jobs and promote equality.
