Poland to build five 'hydrogen valleys': PM

Five "hydrogen valleys" will be built in Poland to produce what could be a clean alternative fuel of the future, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has announced.

He told reporters: "Poland could become a hydrogen hub in the next decade, and we will take steps to turn it into such a hub."

One of the new "hydrogen valleys" will be set up in the southeastern city of Rzeszów, he added.

Morawiecki told a press conference on Tuesday that Poland plans to build hydrogen-producing electrolysers with a capacity of at least 2 gigawatts.
