Amid the war in neighbouring Ukraine and surging energy prices in Europe, 28 percent are neutral on the issue, while 5 percent are undecided, according to pollster CBOS.

The number of those positive about the economy dropped by 1 percentage point from the previous survey a month earlier, while the number of negative comments remained unchanged, according to the poll.

The percentage of respondents who said the country as a whole was headed in the right direction increased to 27 percent from 24 percent in June, the survey also found.

Meanwhile, 58 percent, down from 59 percent in June, said things in the country were moving in the wrong direction, according to CBOS.

The poll was conducted from June 27 to July 7 on a representative, random sample of 1,084 adult respondents, state news agency PAP reported.
