Interview: Nuclear power could satisfy 40% of Poland's energy demand

Russia's invasion of Ukraine has caused energy prices to soar, "railroading some countries into pledging allegiance to resource-abundant Russia" and prompting others to either cut down on energy consumption or turn to renewables, according to an expert.

Poland, which has been grappling with efforts to follow an EU-wide green transition, is now looking to find effective ways to employ alternative energy sources, possibly including nuclear power.

Radio Poland's Piotr Miszczuk speaks with Adam Juszczak, an analyst for the Polish Economic Institute, which has made some predictions about the country's nuclear power prospects.
