Just weeks before the country's presidential election, 39 percent are neutral on the issue, while the remainder are undecided, according to pollster CBOS.
The number of those positive about the economy decreased by 5 percentage points from the previous survey a month earlier, while the number of negative comments increased by 7 percentage points, the pollster said.
The proportion of respondents who said the country as a whole was headed in the right direction held steady at 29 percent, the survey also found.
Meanwhile, 50 percent of those polled, the same percentage as in March, said things in the country were moving in the wrong direction, according to CBOS.
The poll was carried out from April 3 to 13 on a sample of 1,030 respondents, state news agency PAP reported.
