Barack Obama headlines Poland’s Impact congress

Former US President Barack Obama will visit Poland this week to deliver a keynote at the Impact congress, one of Central Europe’s largest economic and geopolitical forums.

The two-day event begins Wednesday in Poznań, bringing together 650 speakers and over 6,000 participants to discuss global challenges and Europe’s role in a shifting world.

Obama will close the congress with a keynote conversation alongside Yale historian Timothy Snyder.

Other high-profile guests include former US Secretary of State John Kerry, political scientist Francis Fukuyama, and numerous Polish government officials.

The forum will cover topics such as economic competitiveness, AI innovation, cybersecurity, green transformation, and global security in light of Russia’s war on Ukraine.

Business leaders from global corporations and leading Polish entrepreneurs will also share insights on navigating technological and geopolitical disruptions.

Now in its tenth edition, Impact is known for its concise presentations and fast-paced panel debates across 23 thematic tracks.
