Meanwhile, average wages are expected to rise 6.7 percent in 2026, under the key macroeconomic indicators approved by Prime Minister Donald Tusk's Cabinet.

The unemployment rate is expected to stand at 4.9 percent at the end of 2026, according to the government.

The country's minimum wage, meanwhile, will rise to PLN 4,806 (EUR 1,064, USD 1,148) in 2026, up from at PLN 4,666 this year, under a proposal unveiled by the government on Thursday, state news agency PAP reported.

The macroeconomic indicators endorsed by the government are subject to consultation with its social partners as part of the Council for Social Dialogue, officials said.

The government has until September 30 to come up with the final draft of the country’s budget for next year and submit it to parliament.
