According to IAR, the news agency of Poland's national broadcaster Polish Radio, representatives from Axiom Space and the European Space Agency (ESA) offered no major updates during the conference, though they reaffirmed their commitment to the mission.
Axiom's Allen Flynt said the current delay was due to a pressure issue in the Russian-built Zvezda module on the ISS. NASA and Russia’s Roscosmos are assessing whether further action is needed to resolve the issue.
Flynt added that a new launch date for the Axiom Mission 4 (Ax-4) would be announced once safety concerns are fully addressed.
The crew, including Uznański-Wiśniewski, remains in quarantine, which allows the possibility of launching before 22 June - the end of the current launch window and the validity period for mission certifications with SpaceX and NASA.
The pressure anomaly has triggered additional safety tests to determine whether the problem has been resolved.
While we still have to wait a bit longer to see another Pole in space, you can watch a virtual simulation of the space mission below.
