Production at the site is scheduled to begin by the end of 2025. The facility will manufacture electronic control units and sensors for advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), with seven fully automated assembly lines expected to be operational by year-end.
Compal, known for producing components for notebook computers and automotive electronics, sees the automotive segment as its key growth area in the European market, according to Taiwan News.
The company also plans to establish business development and technical support teams across Europe as part of its expansion strategy.
