Around 125,300 housing units were completed nationwide between the start of January and the end of August, the state-run Statistics Poland (GUS) agency said.
It added that the number of housing starts in the first eight months of 2025, at around 146,400 in total, was 9.7 percent lower than in the same period last year.
Meanwhile, overall output in Poland's construction-and-assembly sector fell 6.9 percent in August in year-on-year terms, while also decreasing by 8.9 percent month on month, the state-run statistics agency reported last week.
Builders completed around 200,400 new homes in Poland last year, a decrease of 9.4 percent from 2023, according to Statistics Poland.
At the end of last year, Poland had about 16 million dwellings, up 1.2 percent from a year earlier, the national statistics office reported this month.
