BALANCE The (quiet) hero of Chopin Competition

Every five years the Chopin Competition provides participants with a selection of high-quality grand pianos from various manufacturers. For the 2025 competition, the available pianos include models from Steinway & Sons, Yamaha, Kawai, Fazioli, as well as a new addition, C. Bechstein. BALANCE talks to Morgan Franke, head of the marketing at C.Bechstein which is returning to the renowned competition with its D-282 concert grand as the only German company present on the grand stage.
