BALANCE Poland: Cash or card?
Although cash is still used in this country, Poland is one of Europe’s most modern countries when it comes to digital means of payment. When it comes to contacless payments, BLIK has been the leading mobile payment system, also around 15% of cashless transactions are made through mobile wallets such as Apple Pay and Google Wallet. And as of this week, a new player has entered the market: Samsung Electronics Polska launched its Samsung Pay mobile payment and digital wallet service.
