The study by pollster IBRiS found that 43.9 percent of respondents said their personal finances deteriorated over the course of the year.

Of those, 14.7 percent said their financial situation worsened "significantly," while 29.2 percent described it as "somewhat worse."

At the same time, 41.6 percent of those surveyed said their situation improved.

The perceived improvement was described as "significant" by 8.2 percent of respondents, while 33.4 percent said their financial position was "somewhat better."

A further 14.5 percent said their personal finances neither improved nor worsened.

Respondents were asked to compare their financial situation at the end of 2025 with how they viewed it at the beginning of the year.

The poll was conducted for the Wirtualna Polska website from December 19 to 21 using telephone and online interviews on a representative sample of 1,000 adults, state news agency PAP reported.
