Foreign workers make up 6.7% of Poland’s labour force, data show

Around 1,103,100 foreign workers were employed in Poland at the end of August last year, accounting for 6.7 percent of the total workforce, according to the national statistics office.

That number was 5.6 percent higher than in August 2024 and marked a decrease of 0.3 percent from the previous month, the Statistics Poland (GUS) agency reported this week.

These foreign workers hailed from more than 150 countries, with 67 percent coming from Ukraine, Statistics Poland said.

Belarusians accounted for 10.6 percent of the foreign workforce, followed by Georgians at 2.3 percent, and Indians at 2.1 percent.

Colombians represented 1.6 percent of the total labour force, while Filipinos made up 1.4 percent.
