The figure was 5.2 percentage points higher than a consensus forecast by analysts surveyed by state news agency PAP.
In month-on-month terms, Polish industrial production in March was 17.2 percent higher than in February, the Statistics Poland (GUS) agency said.
Meanwhile, the country's seasonally-adjusted industrial production went up by 8.8 percent in year-on-year terms in March, while increasing 7 percent month on month, the state-run statistics office said on Tuesday.
According to the European Union's Eurostat statistics agency, which uses a different methodology, Poland's seasonally-adjusted industrial production rose 0.3 percent in February compared with the same month in 2025.
