PESA and Jupiter Wagons signed the agreement during the Polish-Indian Business Forum in New Delhi.
The partnership covers the production of locomotives and passenger vehicles, railway decarbonisation projects, including the development of hydrogen-powered vehicles, and component production and supply.
PESA CEO Krzysztof Zdziarski described India as one of the world's most attractive railway markets and said it could become one of the company's most important markets outside Europe.
The company produces vehicles in Bydgoszcz, northern Poland, for operators in Romania, the Czech Republic and Germany.
Mikołaj Raczyński, head of the Polish Development Fund (PFR), said the success of Polish industry was measured not only by exports but also by the ability to establish a lasting presence in global markets.
The business forum in New Delhi was part of Prime Minister Donald Tusk's visit to India and the wider economic programme coordinated by Polish development institutions under the Team Poland initiative.
The delegation included nearly 80 Polish business representatives and heads of institutions supporting foreign expansion, including PFR, PAIH, BGK and KUKE.
