Polish industrial production up 1.4% y/y in November: stats office

Industrial production in Poland grew 1.4 percent in November compared with the same month last year, the country’s Central Statistical Office (GUS) said on Thursday.

The figure was higher than forecast by analysts, who had expected an increase of 0.3 percent, Poland’s PAP news agency reported.

Meanwhile, in month-on-month terms, industrial production in November was 5.8 percent lower than in October, the Central Statistical Office said.

In November 2019, sold #production of #industry in #Poland was higher by 1.4% compared to November 2018 and by 5.8% lower compared to October 2019.

The latest batch of economic data came after the office reported on Wednesday that employment in Polish companies increased 2.6 percent last month on average in year-on-year terms.

The Polish economy grew 3.9 percent in the third quarter of this year, the Central Statistical Office said last month in a final estimate.
