Between January and October 2020, sales of Polish food products abroad totalled EUR 28.3 billion, EUR 1.8 billion more than in the same period of 2019.
Last year showed that Polish food industry companies have been successfully competing not only on the domestic market, but also around the world, according to Marcin Wroński, a deputy head of the National Agricultural Support Centre (KOWR), an executive agency.
“Even during the coronavirus pandemic, they are effectively fighting for a share of foreign markets,” Wroński said.
Polish companies last year notched up a 16 percent increase in sales to non-EU markets, he added.
