The Polish project was last week named the Graphic Design of the Year and the best project in the Applied Graphic Design category.
The museum’s complete visual makeover is the work of Gdańsk-based designers TOFU Studio.
They wrote on the museum’s website: “Our goal was both simple and challenging: creating an unobtrusive brand identity that is highly adjustable, flexible and resistent to constantly changing trends, a frame for the vast variety of artistic and historical collections of all the units of the National Museum."
The DNA Paris Design Awards honour the work of international architects and designers who aim to improve people's daily lives through practical, beautiful and innovative design.
An awards ceremony is due to be held on October 23 at the Espace Niemeyer venue in Paris.
