Polish wages up y/y in Q3 2023: stats office

The average monthly wage in Poland in the third quarter of this year rose by 11 percent compared with the same quarter of 2022, the country’s statistics office has reported.

The average gross monthly wage in the third quarter of 2023 was PLN 7,194.95 (EUR 1,620, USD 1,735), the Statistics Poland (GUS) agency said.

The figure was 2.7 percent up on the second quarter of this year, according to the office.

The state-run statistics agency reported last month that average wages in Poland's corporate sector rose 10.3 percent in September compared with the same month a year earlier.

Meanwhile, inflation in Poland stood at 6.5 percent in year-on-year terms in October, according to a flash estimate released by Statistics Poland at the end of last month.
