Around 14,800 housing units were completed nationwide in the first month of this year, the state-run Statistics Poland (GUS) agency said.
It added that the number of housing starts last month, at around 15,700, was 66.4 percent higher than in the same period a year earlier.
Meanwhile, overall output in Poland’s construction-and-assembly sector fell by 6.1 percent in January in year-on-year terms, while decreasing by 63.2 percent month on month, the state-run statistics agency also reported.
Builders completed around 220,400 new homes in Poland last year, a decrease of 7.6 percent from 2022, Statistics Poland said last month in a preliminary estimate.
