Ryanair said it will spend USD 400 million to double its Modlin-based fleet to eight aircraft and open 25 new routes.

The airline aims to add 200 jobs for pilots, cabin crew and engineers by summer 2026.

Buzz chief executive Michał Kaczmarzyk, whose airline is part of the Ryanair group, told a news conference that Poland is the carrier’s fifth-largest European market.

Under the agreement, the airport will expand its terminal to eight check-in positions and 12 aircraft stands by September 2027 and recruit about 400 staff in passenger handling, services and retail.

Deputy airport head Jacek Kowalski said Modlin’s current annual capacity is 3.5 million passengers; the upgrade and a planned rail link to the terminal, due by end-2027, will handle Ryanair’s forecast growth.
