The figure came in stronger than expected by analysts, who had forecast a 1.8-percent increase in Polish industrial production last month, state news agency PAP reported.

In month-on-month terms, Polish industrial production in October was 3.6 percent higher than in September, the Statistics Poland (GUS) agency said.

Meanwhile, the country's seasonally-adjusted industrial production increased by 1.1 percent in year-on-year terms in October, while falling 1 percent month on month, according to the state-run statistics office.

According to the European Union's Eurostat statistics agency, which uses a different methodology, Poland's seasonally-adjusted industrial production had risen 6 percent in September compared with the same month in 2024.
