“We need to be patient. The rocket launch carrying Poland’s military satellites has been postponed by two days, likely due to a fueling issue. The next launch is scheduled for Friday at 19:18 Polish time,” Defense Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz said on social media, confirming the new date of 28 November.

According to Deputy Defense Minister Cezary Tomczyk, the mission, part of Transporter-15, will place Poland’s first reconnaissance satellite, MikroSAR, produced by the Polish-Finnish company Iceye, into orbit.

Three PIAST satellites developed for the Polish Armed Forces will also be launched, alongside PW6U, a research nanosatellite built by the Polish company SatRev in Wrocław.

Tomczyk described MikroSAR as the first step towards developing a Polish satellite observation capability.

Commenting on the postponement of the sattelite launch to Friday, the politician acknowledged the challenges involved, saying that while many things could go wrong, ensuring everything goes smoothly is rare, and safety must come first.
