Meanwhile, the number of housing starts throughout 2025, at around 212,400, was 9.2 percent lower than in 2024, the state-run Statistics Poland (GUS) agency said in a preliminary estimate.
It added that developers constructed 64.2 percent of all newly delivered dwellings in 2025, while individual investors were responsible for 32.3 percent of housing completions.
The average usable area of a newly completed housing unit was 86.9 square metres, with single-family homes averaging 126.1 square metres and dwellings in apartment buildings 51.4 square metres in size on average, the state-run statistics agency also reported.
At the end of 2025, there were about 16.2 million dwellings across the country, data showed.
In 2024, Polish builders completed around 200,400 new homes, a decrease of 9.4 percent from 2023, according to Statistics Poland.
