Polish inflation at 2.1% in February: stats office

Inflation in Poland stood at 2.1 percent in year-on-year terms in February, the country’s statistics office said in an estimate on Friday.

The figure was in line with a consensus forecast by economists polled by Poland’s PAP news agency.

In January, the prices of consumer goods and services in Poland were also 2.1 percent higher than in the same month a year earlier, according to the state-run Statistics Poland (GUS) agency.

In December, Poland's consumer price index stood at 2.4 percent, Statistics Poland reported.

Consumer prices in February 2026 increased by 2.1% compared with the corresponding month of the previous year (price index 102.1).

The Polish central bank predicted in its latest Inflation Report, released on March 6, that inflation would average 2.3 percent this year, followed by 2.4 percent in 2027 and 2.3 percent in 2028.
