Polish inflation at 3% in March: flash estimate

Inflation in Poland stood at 3 percent in year-on-year terms in March, the country’s statistics office said in a flash estimate on Tuesday.

The reading was 0.3 percentage points lower than forecast by economists polled by Poland’s PAP news agency.

In February, the prices of consumer goods and services in Poland were 2.1 percent higher than in the same month a year earlier, according to the state-run Statistics Poland (GUS) agency.

In January, Poland's consumer price index also stood at 2.1 percent, Statistics Poland reported.

In March 2026, according to a flash estimate, consumer #prices were 3.0% higher Year over Year (price index 103.0) and increased by 1.0% as compared to the previous month (price index 101.0).

The Polish central bank predicted in its latest Inflation Report, released on March 7, that inflation would average 2.3 percent in 2026, followed by 2.4 percent in 2027 and 2.3 percent in 2028.
