Polish jobless rate lowest in EU, at 3.2% in February: Eurostat

Unemployment in Poland stood at 3.2 percent in February, marking the lowest rate in the 27-nation European Union, the bloc’s statistics agency reported on Wednesday.

Poland topped the list while tying for first place with the Czech Republic and Bulgaria, each with 3.2 percent, according to the Eurostat agency.

Meanwhile, Finland had the highest seasonally-adjusted jobless rate in the EU, at 10.4 percent, and Finnish unemployment was the second-highest at 9.8 percent, according to the latest available data.

Eurostat reported that the EU average for February was 5.9 percent, stable compared with January and down from 6 percent in February 2025.

Poland's statistics office (GUS), which uses a different methodology, reported last month that the Polish jobless rate inched up to 6.1 percent in February, from 6 percent in January.
