Polish retail sales 8.7% up y/y in March: stats office

Retail sales in Poland went up by 8.7 percent in March at constant prices compared with the same month a year earlier, the country’s statistics office has reported.

Sales of clothing and shoes increased by 13.6 percent, and those of furniture, household appliances and consumer electronics rose 10.1 percent, the state-run Statistics Poland (GUS) agency said.

Meanwhile, sales of food, beverages and tobacco products went up by 4.3 percent, and those of fuels rose 16.2 percent, according to Statistics Poland.

In terms of current prices, retail sales last month were 9.8 percent higher than in March 2025, Statistics Poland said.

In month-on-month terms, retail sales in March were 18.1 percent higher than in February, the statistics office also reported.
