The company said on Tuesday that passenger numbers were also up 21 percent compared with the first half of 2024 and 45 percent higher than in the same period of 2023.
On average, nearly 247,000 passengers traveled on PKP Intercity's long-distance trains each day during the first six months of the year.
The busiest day was June 7, when the carrier transported 346,000 passengers. May was the strongest month overall, with 8.4 million passengers.
PKP Intercity reported the biggest increases in ridership on the Poznań-Szczecin route, up 32 percent, followed by Kraków-Tarnów, up 31 percent, and Kraków-Rzeszów, up 22 percent.
The company also said it carried 5 million children and students, 2.5 million senior citizens, and 439,000 passengers with disabilities during the first half of the year.
PKP Intercity is Poland's largest long-distance rail operator, connecting major cities, tourist destinations and international destinations across Europe.
The company carried 89.2 million passengers in 2025 and expects that figure to rise to 96 million this year.
