The figure came in stronger than expected by analysts, who had forecast a 4.5-percent increase in Polish industrial production last month, state news agency PAP reported.
In month-on-month terms, Polish industrial production in July was 1.8 percent lower than in June, the Statistics Poland (GUS) agency said on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the country's seasonally-adjusted industrial production increased by 4.2 percent in year-on-year terms in July, while going up 0.5 percent month on month, according to the state-run statistics office.
According to the European Union's Eurostat statistics agency, which uses a different methodology, Poland's seasonally-adjusted industrial production had increased 4.9 percent in June compared with the same month in 2025.
