The survey, conducted by SAP Poland and entitled “AI Readiness Index. The Road to the Autonomous Enterprise”, found that 54% of managers expect AI to reduce jobs within the next three years, while 49% said that AI implementation is progressing more slowly than previously announced.
56% of managers said that they expect employees to be required to perform more tasks simultaneously as AI is introduced. 65% said that their companies provide AI training or upskilling programmes.
The study authors said that AI is not only changing the tools available to the employees, but also the scope of their responsibilities.
“Systems can take over an increasing number of repetitive tasks, allowing employees to focus on work that requires experience, creativity and expert judgement,” SAP Poland’s Vice-President, Katarzyna Rusek, said.
“It is therefore becoming increasingly important to build trust, establish clear rules for how these systems operate, and develop the skills that will enable employees and managers to function effectively in this new environment”, she added.
