Around 132,200 housing units were completed nationwide between the start of January and the end of August, the state-run Statistics Poland (GUS) agency said.
It added that the number of housing starts in the first eight months of 2026, at around 153,500 in total, was 4.8 percent higher than in the same period last year.
Meanwhile, overall output in Poland's construction-and-assembly sector rose 6.7 percent in August in year-on-year terms, while decreasing by 0.6 percent month on month, the state-run statistics agency reported.
Builders completed around 208,800 new homes in Poland last year, 4.3 percent more than in 2024, Statistics Poland said in an estimate earlier this year.
At the end of last year, Poland had about 16.2 million dwellings, up 1.2 percent from a year earlier, the national statistics office reported this month.
