Exhibition in Warsaw about 1989 Chain of Freedom
An exhibition has opened in Warsaw focusing on the “Baltic Way” - a human chain formed in a peaceful political demonstration on 23 August 1989 in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, at the time Soviet republics.

A symbolic demonstration of solidarity among people in the region, the chain helped pave the way to independence for the three countries.
"The Baltic way - an action for freedom" exhibition has been put together by the National Archives of Latvia in cooperation with the Lithuanian Central State Archives and the National Archives of Estonia. The exhibition can be seen in Warsaw until August 26.
