City authorities in Warsaw encourage residents to aim for greener ways of transport such as public buses, trams, underground and commuter trains, both in the city center and suburbs.

The capital is one of some 200 cities taking part in the European Mobility Week.

First established in 2002 in Poland, Car-Free Day is now held in over 80 cities across the country.
