The results of a blood test received by the District Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw confirmed the presence of amphetamine, public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported.
The driver was earlier detained.
Over 20 people were injured, five of them seriously, in the accident on Thursday on the Polish capital’s northern Grota-Roweckiego Bridge, IAR added.
Forty people had been aboard the bus at the time.
