Austria has a lower proportion of coronavirus deaths than Poland, at 602 per million residents, while Greece has 409, the new data found.
Meanwhile, Poland's western neighbor Germany is the European country least affected by the pandemic among those listed by the Polish health ministry, with 325 coronavirus-related deaths per million population, 59 less than Poland's northeastern neighbor Lithuania.
