On April 11, 1923 the Polish Radio-technicians association adopted a set of recommendations for regular broadcasting, a date that was afterwards celebrated as a milestone in the history of Polish Radio.

Throughout Sunday, all programmes of Polish Radio are celebrating Radio Day with special shows dedicated to the history of Poland’s national broadcaster.

Polish Radio’s first trial transmission was aired on February 1, 1925, while the service’s regular broadcasting started on April 18, 1926.
