All pupils in Poland are due to return to traditional on-site classes on May 29.

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at the end of last month announced that a swathe of COVID restrictions on daily life would be eased in several stages.

On Monday, officials reported 1,109 new coronavirus infections and 11 more deaths, bringing the country's total number of cases during the pandemic to 2,855,190 and fatalities to 71,675.
