Indian Christmas in Warsaw: audio report

During the event, they performed traditional Indian dances as well as offered an Indian take on modern carols and Christmas food, Indian style.

Christmas is a rather small festival in India, due to the number of people who are Christians (about 2.3%), compared to people who belong to other religions. Nevertheless, with the population of India at over 1 billion, there are over 25 million Christians in India!

We are always connected with the European style and we became Christian through  St. Thomas, we have some songs related to him and we just connected them with carols for the occasion, John Neelankavil, Abhinaya Dance Group’s representative in Poland, told Radio Poland’s Danuta Isler.
