Announced recently, the latest national ranking was compiled by the Warsaw-based GrowSpace Foundation.
For the first time, the annual campaign, now in its fourth year, culminated with an event hosted by the Polish Ministry of Education.
This year, the theme of the initiative was "School of Trust," says the GrowSpace Foundation's Mateusz Trzaska, “because trust is elementary: It’s an elementary part of the reality at school, and must eventually be there permanently.”

The ranking, developed by the foundation, was created by surveying about 20,000 students from all of Poland's 16 provinces, and over 2,000 schools.
Included in this year’s survey were both new and returning schools.
The highest number of votes went to Warsaw's Bednarska High School, which is named after Maharaja Jam Saheb Digvijay Sinhji, an Indian prince who was known for helping Polish children during World War II.
Second place went to another Warsaw high school, one named after Polish mathematician, philosopher and astronomer Jan Śniadecki, and third place went to a high school in the southern city of Zabrze that offers a bilingual learning experience.
The schools that received the highest ratings were given a drawing of a rainbow shield with this year's theme inscribed on it. The shield was signed by Deputy Education Minister Piechna-Więckiewicz.
