The event marks Poland's largest gathering for human rights, equality, and anti-discrimination. This year's theme is "The Answer is Love." Like every year, its goal is to support the LGBTQ+ community while also raising awareness about the rights of women, people with disabilities, national minorities, refugees, and the need for the protection of animals and the climate.
Participants, waving rainbow flags and blue, pink, and white banners that represent the transgender community, will walk from the Palace of Culture and Science to Castle Square before returning to the Center, where they will have fun together until the evening.
The Equality Parade has been held in Warsaw since 2001. The president of the capital, Rafał Trzaskowski, has assumed honorary patronage of the event.
