Young Polish geologists embark on research cruise to Spitsbergen

A team of young geologists from the University of Wrocław in southwestern Poland has embarked on a scientific expedition to Spitsbergen.

The mission marks the 80th anniversary of the university’s Institute of Geological Sciences.

The group set sail for the Svalbard Archipelago in the Arctic Ocean on Monday aboard a historic Polish tall ship.
