Running from 16–22 September during European Mobility Week, the Roadpol Safety Days campaign is coordinated by the European Traffic Police Network (ROADPOL) and supported by the European Commission and the European Transport Safety Council.
The initiative promotes responsible driving and targets aggressive behavior on the roads. Organizers highlight that speeding, failing to yield, unsafe overtaking and driver distraction remain the leading causes of deadly crashes.
This year’s campaign places particular focus on motorcyclists and other two-wheeler users, who face higher risks in traffic.
Officials stress that responsibility lies with every road user - drivers, cyclists and pedestrians - under the “Vision Zero” strategy, which seeks to eliminate road deaths altogether.
