Submissions are open until 5 November, with the shortlist announced on 13 November. The public will then vote online, and winners will be revealed on 8 December.

The event unfolds in two stages. In the first, a jury of linguists and journalists reviews all submissions.

The 20 most popular words that meet the rules then move on to the public vote. A special jury prize is also awarded to the most creative or meaningful entry.

Founded in 2016 by PWN Scientific Publishers, the initiative has grown into a widely followed programme that reflects how Polish evolves alongside youth culture.

Last year, the winning word was sigma, capturing a trend from online youth communities.
