The initiative, launched by Fundacja Transplantacja LIVERstrong, aimed to raise awareness about the importance of donation and to honor both donors and transplant recipients.

The campaign - titled Green Light for Life Donors and Transplantation - brought together many of the country’s most recognizable sites, including the Palace of Culture and Science and the Grand Theatre–National Opera in Warsaw (central Poland), the Philharmonic Hall in Szczecin (northwest), the Spodek Arena in Katowice (southern Poland), and Neptune’s Fountain in Gdańsk (on the Baltic coast).

Regional landmarks in Gdynia (on the Baltic coast), Białystok (in northeastern Poland), and the regional government offices in Gdańsk also took part.

The color green, symbolizing new life and hope, was chosen to represent those who have received transplants and those still waiting for their second chance.

The foundation said the campaign seeks not only to celebrate lives saved through transplantation but also to highlight the urgent need for more donors and greater public awareness.

In a message shared on social media, the foundation expressed gratitude for the show of support and sent words of encouragement to all those still waiting for their donors - reminding them that the transplant community stands with them every step of the way.
